Так как основное назначение данного адаптера - это работа от батарей и аккумуляторов, то в адаптере предусмотрена функция защиты от переразряда, которую можно гибко конфигурировать с помощью переключателей на адаптере. Адаптер питания умеет посылать команды на компьютер для программного (корректного) завершения работы системы в случае разряда аккумулятора, при этом время на выключение отводится в соответствии с положениями перемычек, затем адаптер полностью выключится и будет потреблять всего 0.5мА. Также имеется разъем для подключения ключа зажигания, что позволит более гибко подключить к бортовой сети автомобиля.
